DAKKOTA : Diversity Statement

Dakkota Integrated Systems Minority Procurement Policy Statement

Dakkota Integrated Systems values the benefits that a strong minority business community brings to our global competitiveness and the strength it provides to our economy. As such, Dakkota’s policy is to create and maintain a business environment in which minority firms have a genuine opportunity to do business. In establishing this policy, Dakkota recognizes its responsibility to the customers it serves and the communities in which it conducts business.

The term “minority business enterprise” means a business at least 51 percent of which is owned by minority group members. For purposes of definition, minority group members are African American, Hispanic Americans, Native Americans, Asian-Pacific Americans, and Asian-Indian Americans.

Dakkota developed its Minority Procurement Program not as a reaction to outside pressures, but in an effort to recognize and support initiatives that can enhance Dakkota’s relationships with our minority suppliers. The goal of this policy is to encourage the growth and development of minority suppliers. Dakkota will continue to purchase products and services without discrimination based on race, religion, sex, age, or national origin. We are committed to maximizing the participation of minority suppliers in all facets of our business.

The Dakkota Supplier Diversity group is responsible for coordinating the Minority Procurement Program. However, Dakkota’s commitment to the program is corporate-wide, and all functional groups shall contribute to its success. The Director of Supplier Diversity will monitor and report at established intervals on our progress.
